Description Muttereralm – Mutters/Götzens

After years of lying dormant, the Mutterer Alm awakened again for the 2005/2006 season. The Muttereralmbahn, a modern eight-seater gondola with a mid-mountain station, comfortably transports winter sports enthusiasts up to the Mutterer Alm. A four-seater chairlift to the Pfriemesköpfl and the Almboden drag lift, as well as the new Nockspitzbahn from Götzens, complete the offerings in this family ski area with easy and intermediate slopes.

From the edge of the village of Mutters, the eight-seater gondola takes you up to the Mutterer Alm at 1,605 meters. Here you'll find the Mutterer Alm Erlebnisrestaurant with a romantic lounge and cozy bar—essentially the meeting point at the heart of the ski area. The Pfriemesköpfl four-seater chairlift continues up to 1,805 meters, the highest point in the ski area. From up here, you have a magnificent view of the Innsbruck mountain landscape and the city itself. Below the chairlift, a challenging slope leads down to the Mutterer Alm, but there is also an intermediate run, from which you can access the very scenic descent to Götzens. From Götzens, the new eight-seater Nockspitzbahn gondola, also with a mid-mountain station, takes you back up to the Pfriemesköpfl. The family run down to Mutters is mostly easy and very manageable for beginners. If the snow becomes soft in the lower section, you can rejoin at the Nockhof mid-station. The Almboden drag lift offers the ideal terrain for practice.

After skiing, you can enjoy après-ski at Swing In, right at the valley station, or if you prefer a quieter atmosphere and traditional cuisine, you should visit Gasthaus Lärchenwald. In Götzens, there is also a new bistro with après-ski right at the valley station.
