The La Hoya ski resort is located just under 15 km from Esquel on the edge of the Andes, about 1,900 km by road from Buenos Aires. Various lifts provide access to slopes of all levels of difficulty. The La Hoya ski resort and the first lift were opened in 1974, making it the second oldest ski resort in Argentina.
