The glacier ski area on the Kitzsteinhorn offers skiing almost all year round. The snowmaking systems extend from Langwiedboden (2,000 m) to the edge of the glacier (2,700 m). At Maiskogel, all slopes down to Kaprun are fully covered with artificial snow. Natural snowfall is usually very abundant. Ski operations at Maiskogel generally run from mid-December to early April.
