1/13 MK Maiskogelbahn
The MK Maiskogelbahn from Leitner connects Kaprun with the Maiskogel mountain station. The 10-seater gondola lift, with a length of around 3.8 km, is the first part of the new cable car connection from Kaprun to the Kitzsteinhorn, the “K-ONNECTION”.
The “K-ONNECTION” links Kaprun via the Maiskogel with the Kitzsteinhorn. From the center of Kaprun, the MK Maiskogelbahn travels in two sections to the Maiskogel mountain station. From there, the 3K K-onnection, one of the most modern and energy-efficient cable cars in the world, leads to Langwied on the Kitzsteinhorn.
In addition to the connection to the Kitzsteinhorn, the modern lift offers a longer ski season thanks to improved ascent and descent options when there is little snow in the lower area of the Maiskogel. The 10-seater gondola also provides a much more comfortable entry into the ski area from the center of Kaprun. Besides the valley station, the Kaprun Center houses a modern, spacious sports shop and a ski depot. The regional public and ski buses stop directly in front.
