Connection between Maiskogel and Kitzsteinhorn

The 3-cable lift on the Kitzsteinhorn is the first lift system to be equipped with the newly developed ATRIA cabins from CWA. These new 3S cabins impress with a consistent design language of rounded shapes, clean lines, and a coherent overall appearance. The cabins feel harmonious, offering plenty of transparency and a pleasant sense of space. The modern, electromechanical door drive system provides audiovisual signals when opening and closing for greater comfort and safety.

A total of six cable cars with around 12 km of total length connect, as the so-called “K-onnection,” the valley town of Kaprun with the summit of the Kitzsteinhorn. From the new Kaprun Center, you take the MK Maiskogelbahn up to the Maiskogel. There, the highlight of the new connection awaits: the spectacular 3K K-onnection, over 4 kilometers long. Once you arrive in Langwied, you continue comfortably to the summit at 3,029 m—the highest point in the province of Salzburg—via Gletscherjet 2, Gletscherjet 3, Gletscherjet 4, and Gletscher Shuttle.
