The season in Kitzbühel usually starts as early as November. The record was set on October 14, 2017, with one slope open on the Resterhöhe. The favorable northwest weather conditions along the main Alpine ridge ensure excellent snow reliability. Comprehensive snowmaking and grooming guarantee first-class skiing operations. Almost all runs are fully equipped with high-performance snow cannons. Most ski slopes on the Hahnenkamm range from 1,500 m to just under 2,000 m in altitude, and at Pass Thurn from 1,200 m to 2,000 m. For the winter of 2025/26, KitzSki is introducing a snow guarantee. Between mid-December and mid-March, skiing during the premium period is guaranteed—a promise based on decades of experience, technical innovation, and topographical advantages. If this is not possible, a proportional refund for the ski pass will be provided.
