The Weisseeferner 1 drag lift was largely destroyed by an avalanche in October 2018. It was subsequently dismantled and, in the summer of 2019, replaced—along with the neighboring Weisseeferner 2 drag lift—by the Falginjochbahn, a 100-person Funifor.
