The Karakol ski resort is located a 30-minute drive from the town of the same name, on a mountain pass at 2,300 meters. There is a mountain hotel with a sauna, restaurant, and helicopter landing pad. A snowcat can take you up to 3,450 meters. In the Karakol winter sports area, slopes of all difficulty levels are available for skiing and snowboarding. Many slopes also attract freeriders.
