No cross-country trails in KapplDescription Kappl
Kappl – an insider tip among the medium-sized ski resorts. From the valley, you can take the 10-person Dias gondola up to 1,830 m into the Kappl ski area. Here, you can transfer directly to the Alblitt chairlift with weather protection hoods, which takes you up to 2,300 m. From there, easy, intermediate, and difficult slopes lead back down to the mountain station of the gondola. Alternatively, you can head over to the Alblitt lifts. The Alblitt drag lift ends before the terrain gets steeper, while the Alblittkopf chairlift with weather protection hoods takes you all the way up to 2,644 m. From the top, you have a magnificent view of the Paznaun Valley.
The difficult slope 8 and the intermediate slope 7 lead over wide, treeless slopes back down to the Alblittkopf lift. The Latten run winds around the mountain and eventually ends at the Gongall double chairlift. Next to this run, you’ll find wonderful slopes that are perfect for powder skiing. The Latten run gently descends over the Lattenjoch between the Alblittköpfe (2,720 m) and the Hohe Spitze (2,796 m) towards the tree line. With the Gongall double chairlift, you can quickly ride back up the mountain just after the tree line.
At the mountain station of the Diasbahn, there is a large family and beginner area. The so-called Sunny Mountain Adventure Park has several conveyor belts (mostly covered) and is fully geared towards families. The Mardinalift up to 2,130 m also serves wide slopes. Advanced skiers prefer slopes 3, 8, and 10 as well as the ski routes. Freeriders have access to a large, unsecured off-piste area. An intermediate slope leads down to the valley station.
