The Hotz ski area is known for its family-friendly practice slopes for skiing and snowboarding. Once a year, the Oberwenger Nachtslalom takes place—a ski race held under floodlights. There is also a bobsled and toboggan run. The Hotz winter sports area is also the starting point for the 8-kilometer Winklertalloipe cross-country trail as well as various snowshoe tours and winter walks. Homemade delicacies to recharge are offered at the snack bar in the farmhouse by the Hotz ski lift.
