For over 20 years, the ski club has operated its own ski and toboggan lift here, which is about 250 meters long. This provides access to a slope that is relatively steep in the upper section, making it ideal for sporty skiing and snowboarding. In the lower part, the ski area is flat and easy, so this section of the slope in Holzhausen-Externsteine was well suited as a practice hill for beginners and children. Due to lower snowfall, the ski lift has only been used as a toboggan lift since 2019. Now, the entire width of the former ski slope is available for sledders to enjoy.
