The 30% gradient of the upper slope is more of a shock therapy for beginners than an ideal introduction. There is also no ski rental on the mountain, so you can't just drop by and give it a try. In addition, rope tows are common as practice lifts, but they're not really perfect. While the lower lift serves a gentle slope, it is still a bit steep, which can also be problematic for learning—and you have to get there first.
