The Hesselbacher Gletscher, formerly known as Alpincenter Wittgenstein, is an attractive slope with easy to intermediate runs for skiing and snowboarding. The small ski area got its name in a very amusing way: the first attempts at snowmaking produced pure ice. Today, the slopes in the Hesselbacher Gletscher winter sports area are perfectly covered with artificial snow, and night skiing is offered daily.
