In the heart of the Lungau region in Salzburger Land lies the Grosseck/Speiereck ski area. The ski area is easy and quick to reach via the A10 Tauern Motorway, exit St. Michael (Sankt Michael im Lungau). Coming from the north, you pass through the toll-required Tauern Tunnel before the exit; coming from the south, you pass through the toll-required Katschberg Tunnel. From the St. Michael motorway exit, it’s only a few minutes to the valley station of the Sonnenbahn in St. Michael. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the valley station in Mauterndorf. Parking is free of charge.
