The Grand Targhee ski area offers a range of easy and wide slopes that are ideal for beginners. There is even a dedicated area at the Shoshone Lift and at the Huckleberry conveyor belt specifically for beginners. From Fred's Mountain, a long and very easy slope leads down to the valley. Advanced beginners can explore the entire ski area on the blue-marked and groomed slopes. The Grand Targhee ski school offers beginner courses as well as private lessons.
