South Tyrolean hospitality is apparent everywhere you go. Lift staff are very attentive and friendly at boarding areas and exits of the lifts. The pole is handed to you at tow lifts. At the Schilling gondola lift, used by many beginners, staff often hand skis to passengers as they disembark.
