Description Galtür – Silvapark

Shortly after the idyllic village of Galtür, you reach the district of Wirl. In winter, the road ends here (in summer, the Silvretta High Alpine Road leads from here over to Vorarlberg) and the skiing fun begins.

The Birkhahnbahn, a detachable four-seater chairlift with weather protection hoods, takes you directly from the parking lot into the Galtür ski area. You can also glide into the ski area with the Alpkogel eight-seater gondola lift. Up here, the Ballunspitzbahn, a six-seater chairlift with weather protection hoods, whisks you up to almost 2,300 meters. Challenging and intermediate slopes lead down into the valley.

If you choose slope 9 or 14, you can take a connecting trail over to the valley station of the Zehner-Gondelbahn Breitspitzbahn (new since 2016/17). From here, you have a beautiful view of the Kopssee reservoir. Challenging and intermediate slopes start from the mountain station of the gondola. There is also a ski route that leads back to the valley station.

To return to Galtür, take the Ballunspitze ski trail and you are back on the Galtür side. Now you should try out the two Kopssee lifts and the Klein-Zeinis lift. Intermediate slopes lead to these lifts.

For beginners, there is a large practice area in the valley. Galtür is also a paradise for families. With numerous stations such as Siggi's Bambiniland, Soppapark, Märchenwald, Jägerpfad, cross course, traffic course, Rauch family run, and Zeinispark, children have a lot of fun here.

On your last run, you should definitely take a break at the "Weiberhimmel," a rustic hut with a great atmosphere. Further stations for après-ski await you on the way down to the valley.
