The Furano ski resort offers several challenging slopes and mogul runs. A highlight is the deep powder runs through the open forests. The slopes can be exited through several gates. However, the off-piste area through the open forests is not patrolled. It is only protected against avalanches, and the gates are only open under good conditions. Anyone skiing through closed gates will have their ski pass revoked without exception. Experiencing the "Japow" Japan Powder in the open forests is a truly special experience.
