Environmental protection of the ski resort Fellhorn/Kanzelwand – Oberstdorf/Riezlern

Sustainability is a top priority for Oberstdorf Kleinwalsertal Bergbahnen, as demonstrated by the MyMountainNature initiative. The entire Fellhorn/Kanzelwand ski area is powered entirely by 100% green electricity from hydropower. The photovoltaic systems at Fellhorn generate large amounts of electricity. The cable cars use biofuel made from plant waste and hydrogen, significantly reducing CO2 emissions. Purchasing is done from regional suppliers.

Car-free travel to Oberstdorf is strongly encouraged. Local ski buses provide environmentally friendly transportation to the ski area.
