Highlights:
Family-friendly, small ski area, several children's areas, a few ski schools, peaceful atmosphere, especially beautiful forest runs, very good connection between Grafenmatt and Seebuck since 2015/2016Negative points:
Limited accommodation directly at the area, few dining options on the mountainDescription Feldberg – Seebuck/Grafenmatt/Fahl
The largest and highest ski area in the Black Forest is without a doubt Feldberg, standing at 1,493 meters. On the nearby Seebuck, you can glide up to 1,448 meters with a modern six-seater chairlift with weather protection hoods, accompanied by a double chairlift. Easy to intermediate runs descend over almost treeless slopes. The slopes here are also equipped with snowmaking, ensuring excellent conditions from December to April. The two parallel Resi I+II platter lifts, which are especially suitable for beginners, complete the offerings at Seebuck.
Via the easy Zeiger run, you can swing over to the facilities at Grafenmatt. Since the 2005/2006 season, a convenient ski bridge allows you to reach the Zeller 1 and 2 drag lifts. The Zeller lifts provide access to two wide, intermediate runs. With the Grafenmatt I drag lift, accompanied by the Grafenmatt II platter lift up to about halfway, you can head towards Fahl Alpin. From here, you can choose either the easy Rothaus run or the challenging run through the Fahler Loch to the mid-station, and then continue on an easy run down to the Rothausbahn. You can then take the Bubble Rothausbahn directly or the Hebelwiese drag lift back to the mid-station, and from there continue with the parallel Silberwiese drag lifts up to Grafenmatt at 1,380 meters. Here, two very beautiful, challenging runs begin—the Ahornbühl and the FIS Weltcup. The FIS Weltcup is also served by the Weltcup double chairlift. Other intermediate forest runs, such as the Klusenwald run or the easy, 3 km long Rothaus run, round off the offerings.
Returning towards Seebuck has been made extremely comfortable since the 2015/2016 season with the Zeigerbahn.
The runs at Grafenmatt and Fahl all lead through the forest, are well connected, and are well groomed. Here, everyone can find their perfect slope, whether beginner or advanced. In the village of Feldberg, you can relax after skiing, and at the valley station of the Seebuck lifts, there is an umbrella bar as well as a bar in the Hotel Feldberger Hof.
The Feldberg lift network also includes other areas around Feldberg: Belchenland, Todtnauberg, and the smaller areas of Muggenbrunn, Menzenschwand, and Altglashütten.
