The evaluation is done as follows
Environmental protection of the ski resort Dachstein West – Gosau/Russbach/Annaberg
The Dachstein West ski resort is committed to environmentally friendly ski operations. The valley station of the Hornbahn Russbach is heated by the operation of the Hornbahn itself. Skiing in the forests is prohibited, and the restaurants focus on using local products. Traveling by ski bus is strongly encouraged. E-charging stations are available. Renewable energy is generated independently through photovoltaic systems. Snowmaking is carried out using the latest technologies, producing only as much snow as needed. The ski slopes are also maintained in summer to promote plant diversity.
