Description Breckenridge

From Breckenridge Station, you can float up to Peak 8 with the eight-person gondola, passing through Shock Hill Station and Peak 7 Station along the way. The detachable quad chairlifts Colorado Super Chair and Rocky Mountain Super Chair bring skiers closer to Peak 8. The Columbine run leads to the T-bar lift and further to the detachable six-person chairlift Independence Super Chair, which provides access to beautiful intermediate forest runs below Peak 7. Taking the T-bar lift, you reach the very challenging runs in the Contest Bowl, Horseshoe Bowl, Cucumber Bowl, North Bowl, Peak 7 Bowl, and you can also connect to the detachable quad chairlift Imperial Express Super Chair. You can also reach the Imperial Express from the Colorado Super Chair via the double chairlift 6. The Imperial Express Super Chair is the highest quad chairlift in the world, reaching up to 3,914 meters. From here, only difficult and extremely difficult runs lead down wide slopes back to the valley.

To access the runs at Peak 9, you can either float up to Peak 9 with the double chairlift Chair E or glide over easy runs to the base station of Peak 9. The detachable quad chairlift Beaver Run Super Chair then takes you up to Peak 9, while the detachable six-person chairlift Quicksilver Super6 provides very easy runs for beginners and connects to Peak 10. At Peak 10, the detachable quad chairlift Falcon Super Chair opens up beautiful wide runs. At Peak 9, you will also find runs of all difficulty levels, and the detachable quad chairlift Mercury Super Chair starts a bit higher up and supports the Beaver Run Super Chair. To return toward Peak 8, take the detachable quad chairlift Peak 8 Super Connect via a mid-station. From the top station, you can ski down wide intermediate runs to the Peak 8 base station and take the gondola back to the parking lots, or glide down the easy Four O’Clock or Snowflake runs toward Breckenridge. At Peak 8, the two double chairlifts Chair 5 and Chair 7 provide access to two terrain parks and a superpipe, as well as easy practice slopes. Breckenridge was first mentioned in 1859 during the so-called gold rush and has retained the character of a charming gold mining town to this day.
