The 10-seater Explorer Gondola is part of the optimized connection from Big Sky Mountain Village to Lone Peak (3,398 m). The modern 10-seater gondola replaces the Explorer Double 2-seater chairlift on the first section up to the mid-station, makes a gentle turn, and then continues to the base station of the also new Lone Peak Tram. The lift system offers more comfort, higher capacity, and a significantly reduced travel time to the Lone Peak Tram, as several transfers are no longer necessary.
