1/8 Schlossalmbahn II
The construction of the two new 10-seater gondola lifts Schlossalmbahn II and Schlossalmbahn I marks a milestone in the development of the ski resort. These two comfortable 10-seater gondola lifts replace a total of three lifts. In addition to the relaxed ascent without changing lifts, the simultaneous expansion of the slopes further increases the attractiveness of Schlossalm.
The 10-seater gondola lifts Schlossalm II and Schlossalm I are manufactured by Doppelmayr. The two lift installations replace a 120-seater funicular, the old Schlossalmbahn I, the 4-seater chairlift Kleine Scharte, and the 2-seater chairlift Haitzingalm. With these modern, high-performance monocable gondola lifts, the transport capacity from the valley has more than doubled.
As part of the redesign of Schlossalm, the route alignment is also being optimized. The entry point to the Schlossalmbahn I is now more conveniently located on the other side of the busy main road, directly at the parking lot. The mid-station of the 10-seater gondola lifts, valley station of Schlossalmbahn II and at the same time mountain station of Schlossalmbahn I, is further in the Kitzstein area, not far from the valley station of the aerial cableway Schlossalm.
The mountain station of the new Schlossalmbahn II at Kleine Scharte will be relocated by a few meters, providing a comfortable connection to various descent options.
