Access & on-site parking

It takes just under an hour from Highway 70 to the Aspen Highlands ski area. Unfortunately, there are no free parking spaces. At the valley station, there is the Aspen Highlands Garage with limited and paid parking spots. However, you can park for free at Buttermilk Mountain and use the free shuttle bus to Aspen Highlands.

Winter Closure

Highway 82 to Twin Lake via Independence Pass is closed in winter. Aspen can only be reached in winter via Basalt and Glenwood Springs (Highway 70).
