Slope offering, variety of runs at the ski resort Alta
Alta is a truly special place for skiers. This traditional ski area has been in operation since 1938. The focus is on skiing—snowboarding is prohibited. The terrain is very diverse and the snow quality is often excellent.
There are numerous groomed slopes and areas for beginners, but Alta is especially known for its endless, ungroomed runs for advanced skiers. Powder slopes, steep forest descents, tree skiing, bowls, and cliffs delight visitors within the controlled ski area boundaries. On a powder day, skiing in deep snow here is simply incredible.
The ski area is located in the western foothills of the Rocky Mountains in the Wasatch Mountains and offers a magnificent panorama.
