Environmental protection of the ski resort Alpenpark Neuss

The annual energy consumption is equivalent to that of a large administrative building. The entire ski hall has been converted to LED lighting, which has significantly reduced electricity consumption. The waste heat from the compressors is used to heat glycol, which in turn warms the snow cannons and the ground beneath the supports to prevent them from freezing. Thanks to its central location in the metropolitan area (Rhineland with the major cities of Cologne and Düsseldorf, Ruhr area), travel distances are usually short. There is a dedicated bus stop, direct connections to train stations, a taxi drop-off point (especially during party operations on weekends), and excellent access to the motorway. In addition, there are charging stations for electric cars at the ski hall.

Public transportation/on-site mobility

  • Train connection
Neuss Central Station is about 6 km from the ski hall. Buses are available.
