Town/village at the ski resort: Bad Marienberg
The tiny ski area is operated by volunteers from the local winter sports club. It's obvious that they put their hearts into it because they've made the very best out of the topographical possibilities offered by the 200 m long slope with an altitude difference of 35 metres. The ski area at the Kirburg Hoellental is ideal for a short day in the snow with its snow making equipment, floodlighting, toboggan run and a very cozy ski hut. The slope is also perfect for beginners. A Kässbohrer snow cat is used for slope grooming.
