New Köhlerhagen Gastro and Service Point

In addition to the current meeting point at the cable car, the "second heart" of the Willingen ski area is being created for K1 Willingen at Köhlerhagen. Spacious, free parking areas and a new functional building are being developed directly on the ski slope, on the street "Zur Ruthenaar." Under one roof, there will be a ski rental and a new restaurant specially tailored to the needs of winter sports enthusiasts. The lift ticket office will also be integrated here, so that in the future, neither tickets nor parking spaces will be offered at the actual K1 chairlift valley station.

Snowmaking system and slope lighting

The existing snowmaking system will be supplemented by a new snow pipeline between the mountain and valley stations. This will allow for significantly better coverage of the ski slope with artificial snow in the future. The temporary floodlighting system installed in winter 2010 will be dismantled in 2018 and replaced by a new energy-efficient system, similar to the one at the cable car.
