Skiing below the volcano; beautiful scenic views; Happy Valley; ideal for beginners; panoramic views of the Mt. Ngauruhoe volcano; very good slope preparation; very friendly staff; highest restaurant in New Zealand; free water in all restaurants

Negative points:

No chairlifts with weather-protection covers; no snow park; very affected by weather (the resort can quickly be closed for a day or more); very busy at weekends
