The southwest-facing slopes of Mt. Ruapehu offer long runs from the highest chairlift in New Zealand. The vast snowfields lead across unique volcanic terrain. Intermediate slopes predominate. Beginners will find easy slopes in the lower area of Tūroa. Difficult slopes and extreme areas are spread throughout the ski area. Numerous freeride and off-piste areas complete the offering.
