4 out of 5 stars

Evaluated by Skiresort.info, the world's largest test portal for ski resorts.
The evaluation is done as follows

Environmental protection of the ski resort Tignes/Val d'Isère

The ski resort operators of Tignes and Val d'Isère are committed to preserving and protecting nature. The ski area is partly located within the Tignes-Champagny nature reserve and is therefore subject to strict regulations. A large portion of the electricity comes from renewable energy sources. Photovoltaic systems are partially installed at the gondola lift stations. Snow groomers are powered by biofuel, and the free local buses run either electrically or on biofuel. The use of the ski bus is encouraged, and waste is separated in the ski villages.
