Access & on-site parking
The Remarkables ski resort is located on the South Island of New Zealand. It is about 24 km/40 minutes from Queenstown. The road to the ski resort branches off at Kawarau Falls. The first 4 km of the steep mountain road are paved, and the remaining 9 km are on a gravel road leading to the parking lots below the base station. From there, you have to walk uphill a bit to reach the lifts. If the upper parking lots are full, you park about 2 km before the ski area. A shuttle bus then takes guests to the base station. It is strongly recommended to bring snow chains.Mobility on-site
- Comprehensive ski bus network
- No scheduled buses
- A special bus service operates throughout the day from the center of Queenstown. From the Park & Ride stop, a paid bus service operates by reservation only.
