The first ski lift in the The Cedars ski area was built as early as 1953. Skiing has been practiced here since 1920. The winter sports area in the northern Lebanon Mountains is served by chairlifts and drag lifts. Slopes of all difficulty levels lead back down to the valley station at just under 2,100 m. The The Cedars winter sports area is set to be expanded with the construction of a gondola lift.
