Environmental friendliness/environmental protection Sun Peaks

Test result4 out of 5 stars

Evaluated by, the world's largest test portal for ski resorts.
The evaluation is done as follows

Environmental friendliness of the ski resort Sun Peaks

They place a high value on running an environmentally friendly ski resort at Sun Peaks. They have already implemented a few environmental projects under the "Keep it Green" motto. Skiing through the forest outside of the ski area boundary is not prohibited and some zones within the ski area boundary are also restricted for skiing. Only the West Bowl t-bar lift is still powered by a diesel motor.

Sun Peaks is the first North American ski resort with an ISO 14001 certification for environmental protection.
