Environmental protection of the ski resort Sudelfeld – Bayrischzell

In recent years, the Sudelfeld ski area has made significant progress in environmental friendliness through its modernization efforts. The new chairlifts and snowmaking systems are state-of-the-art. The carefully chosen location of the storage pond near the Walleralm saves up to 30% in energy consumption. Since the water flows downhill, hardly any pumps are needed. Driving in reforested areas is strictly prohibited. Public transport with ski buses is promoted. Regular buses and the Bayerische Oberlandbahn (BOB) make it easier to arrive without a car.

Public transportation/on-site mobility

  • Train connection
There is a direct bus connection from Bayrischzell train station to the Sudelfeld ski area.
  • Ski buses
  • Scheduled buses
  • The free Bayrischzell ski bus connects the different districts with the various entry points to the Sudelfeld ski area. In addition, the ski bus is coordinated with the arrival and departure times of the Bayerische Oberlandbahn (BOB).
