The Stöten ski resort is located in the province of Dalarna in the municipality of Sälen. It is situated about 450 km northwest of Stockholm. The nearest major highways are relatively far away, and the ski resort and the town of Sälen are reached via scenic roads. From the town of Sälen, it is about 40 kilometers to the Stöten ski resort. Parking is available at the base stations of the chairlifts and some drag lifts.
