Skiresort.info test report from 2025-06-18:
Waidringer Hof – relaxed 4*S hotel with heart, style, and a prime location
Waidringer Hof is a hotel that doesn’t push itself into the spotlight – but quietly convinces. Its location in the center of town, just a few steps from the gondola to the Steinplatte, is almost unbeatable for winter sports enthusiasts. Even those who prefer hiking or simply want to relax will find plenty of options in the surrounding area.
The hotel combines traditional Tyrolean style with modern elements. Our room was bright, clean, and pleasantly furnished, with a balcony and views of the surrounding mountains – nothing flashy, but very harmonious. You can tell that everything is done with care here.
The wellness area is particularly impressive: several saunas, a natural swimming pond, beautiful relaxation areas, and a small indoor pool offer exactly what you need after a day on the slopes. Not an overloaded spa temple, but a well-thought-out, pleasant offering that stands out.
The kitchen consistently delivers good quality. Breakfast is varied, in the afternoon there’s a small snack, and in the evening a multi-course menu is served that is regionally rooted but not heavy. No claim to haute cuisine – and that’s a good thing. You simply enjoy eating here.
What makes the hotel special is the atmosphere. There’s an unobtrusive friendliness; you feel welcome but not fussed over. Many guests are repeat visitors – which speaks for itself.
Conclusion: Waidringer Hof is not a place for loud prestige, but for genuine relaxation. If you’re looking for a high-quality, well-run hotel with lots of heart, a solid wellness area, and a perfect location for the Steinplatte, you’ll feel more than comfortable here.
