On the German side, the Winklmoosalm ski area starts in the municipality of Reit im Winkl at Seegatterl. On the Austrian side, the Steinplatte ski area is accessible from Waidring. From both sides, winter sports enthusiasts can take modern gondola lifts directly into the ski area. The cross-border ski area is almost exclusively equipped with state-of-the-art lifts.

The wide, varied slopes are truly unique. For skiing, the Bavarian Winklmoosalm is a paradise for beginners, while the Tyrolean Steinplatte offers not only easy slopes but also challenging runs. Other highlights include the snowpark, the funline, the cozy ski huts, the cross-country trails, and the breathtaking panorama from the Steinplatte.
