Eibergbahn (YOC 2024)

Chairlift at the ski resort SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental

Eibergbahn 1/22

Eibergbahn

The Eibergbahn replaces the two parallel 4-seater chairlifts Eiberg I and Eiberg II. The modern, highest-capacity 8-seater chairlift in the world cuts the ride time by about half, and heated seats increase comfort. The new Eibergbahn significantly enhances the central area of Scheffau and brings winter sports enthusiasts quickly and comfortably up to the Eiberg.

Technical highlights of the lift include a dynamic transport capacity of 1,700–4,570 people per hour, ensuring efficient and resource-saving operation. In addition, the powerful photovoltaic system installed on the roof of the valley station can produce about 50% of the annual energy required.

These two old chairlifts were also known as Octopus when they first opened.
