Expensive gastronomyDescription Skeikampen – Gausdal
After about 30 km from Lillehammer, you reach the Gausdal-Skei ski area. A detachable eight-seater chairlift with weather protection hoods takes you from the Gausdal Høifjellshotell up to the Skei summit at 1,123 m. After an intermediate run, you reach the four-seater chairlift Skeiheisen, which provides access to beautiful slopes. From the summit, you can glide along a connecting trail to additional drag lifts that start from the other side. A very steep mogul run leads directly next to the double drag lift down, but you can also return to this lift via an intermediate run. In the valley, there are 3 platter lifts serving very easy slopes, which are also ideal for beginners. Via easy runs and the platter lift Eivind, you reach 2 more drag lifts. The curved drag lift Vinkelheisen serves another difficult run, and you can switch over to the Galtenheisen drag lift via intermediate runs. The curved lift ends at the same altitude as the eight-seater chairlift, but about 500 m away. You can push across on a connecting trail and in this way ski straight back to Gausdal. At the Galtenheisen drag lift, you will find easy to intermediate runs. To get back to Gausdal, you need to take the platter lift Petter-heisen, an easy or intermediate run, and the Torbjorn-heisen drag lift, and you are back at the triple chairlift.
After skiing, you can head to Vikingland for après-ski, but unfortunately, drinks are very expensive, so you pay 70 NOK, about 8.00 euros, for a beer. However, live music is also offered.
