Gastronomy tip

Thurntaler Rast

At the valley station of the Thurntaler six-seater chairlift at 2,000 m

Thurntaler Rast was completely renovated and expanded in 2013. It now offers typical skier’s fare in a cozy atmosphere. On cold days, the open fireplace provides warmth. In good weather, the sun terrace is inviting.

Mountain hut tip

Pistentreff

At the valley station of the four-seater chairlift Außervillgraten at 1,500 m

The small and rustic piste meeting point is the only serviced hut in the Sillian ski area. Here, Mario personally takes care of his guests. The specialties are the homemade Krapfen. But if you only think of sweet treats, you’re mistaken. There are Schlutzkrapfen, Spinatkrapfen, Pizzakrapfen, and Kärnter Kasnudeln. In good weather, the sun terrace is especially inviting.
