The winter sports area at Schwarzenberg is the northernmost ski resort in Saxony. Skiing at Schwarzenberg, a spur of the Zittau Mountains, has a tradition of over 50 years. Since the slope is very narrow, snowboarders are only allowed to ride on the toboggan run. There is also a small snack bar at the valley station in the Schwarzenberg ski area.
