The new Sonnkogelbahn replaces the 3-seater chairlift of the same name. The modern 6-seater chairlift increases comfort along the route, while also reducing travel time and increasing transport capacity. What makes the new Sonnkogelbahn special, however, is the concept of using cabins instead of chairs during summer operation, allowing it to function as a combination lift.
In winter, the Sonnkogelbahn is a comfortable, state-of-the-art 6-seater chairlift. With your winter sports equipment on, you can reach the mountain station quickly and conveniently. In summer, cabins from Doppelmayr are attached to the lift, so that hikers and families can also reach the Sonnkogel safely and comfortably.
