Santa Caterina Valfurva is located in the northeast of Lombardy, slightly east of Bormio. This Italian ski resort can only be reached from the north via Switzerland. The journey leads through the toll Munt la Schera road tunnel, Livigno, and Bormio. The road tunnel is single-lane, and traffic alternates in one direction at a time. On Saturdays in winter, there are special regulations and the direction is not changed for several hours. Please check for updates!
If you are coming from the south, the journey is via Tirano and Bormio. In winter, many mountain passes are closed, so these are the only two access routes.
A large paid parking garage is located directly at the valley station in Santa Caterina.
