1/17 Ski slopes Santa Caterina Valfurva
Surrounded by the high peaks of the Ortler Alps and nestled within the Stelvio National Park, the Santa Caterina Valfurva ski area offers scenically stunning slopes. There are runs for all levels of difficulty, with intermediate slopes predominating. Challenging steep slopes and easy slopes at the mid-station expand the range of options. In the Valle dell'Alpe, the slopes face south, while those at the gondola lifts face north.
Multiple world champion and Olympic gold medalist Deborah Compagnoni was born in Santa Caterina. The slope named after her hosted the women's races of the Alpine Ski World Championships in 2005. Night skiing on the Deborah Compagnoni Piste is also very popular.
