For advanced skiers, the front side of Riksgränsen offers a challenging slope and many off-piste opportunities. In some areas, you’ll even find extreme terrain with rocks and cliffs. You can even make a detour into Norway through deep powder snow. On the backside towards Katterjåkk, there is also plenty of open ski terrain. The dream of every expert is heliskiing in Riksgränsen. Helicopter tours can be booked quite flexibly with Mountain Guide Travel at Hotel Riksgränsen. Here, you fly into the Abisko Alps and can enjoy endlessly wide powder slopes. A guide safely leads winter sports enthusiasts to the best runs. The panorama is magnificent, and in good weather, you can see all the way to the Lofoten Islands. In 2021, Skiresort awarded heliskiing in Riksgränsen the distinction of "Best Heliskiing". The helicopter flies to, among others, the following mountains in Sweden: Vassitjakka 1360 m, Låkktatjocka 1440 m, Kårsatjokka 1450 m, Vouitasrita 1588 m, Nordalsfjäll 1051 m.
