The Naspa New Otani Resort is located above Echigo Yuzawa, and a free shuttle bus takes guests from the train station to the hotel in just a few minutes. The hotel is the best in the region and offers guests direct access from the ski storage room to the slopes. Most of the guests are Japanese, but even if you don't speak Japanese, you'll find it easy to get around. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The rooms are spacious and modernly furnished, and you won't have to do without a heated toilet seat here. You can also enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. After skiing, you can either visit the fitness and pool area (1,000 yen admission) with a warm indoor pool, whirlpool, and steam bath, or relax in the onsen (hot springs). There are also private onsens that can be rented by the hour. Breakfast and dinner are served buffet-style (Western and Japanese) in the large dining hall, and there are also bars and clubs spread throughout the hotel. This is the perfect hotel for spending your vacation in the Yuzawa region.
