Gastronomy tip
Schneekarhütte
At Horberg, mountain station of the Schneekar chairlift
A cozy place to stop with many regular guests. All dishes are freshly prepared. Mainly organic basic ingredients are used. The Schneekarhütte is known for regional products and an exclusive selection of wines.
Mountain hut tip
Gschösswandhaus
Near the mountain station of the Penkenbahn
Thanks to its location above the Gschösswand, the Gschösswandhaus offers a fantastic panoramic view over the Zillertal. It serves down-to-earth yet excellent cuisine, with attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere.
Kasermandl
Next to the mountain station of the Kombibahn Penken
The Kasermandl, a former farmhouse from the 16th century, has been lovingly renovated. The rustic hut is now a small museum filled with folk music memorabilia – a "Hard Rock Cafe" of folk and Schlager music. Before après-ski begins in the afternoon, delicacies, hearty home-style dishes, and international cuisine are served.
Granatalm
At the Penkenjoch at 2,095 m
The Granatalm spoils guests with delicious specialties made from fresh, local ingredients. There is a serviced area and a self-service area.
Lattenalm
At the valley station of the six-seater chairlift Lattenalm (Eggalm)
Rustic and cozy snack station. Probably the most authentic hut in the entire ski area – down-to-earth and comfortable.
Grillhofalm
Directly at the Snowpark and the 150er Tux cable car
The Grillhofalm offers the best view of the PenkenPark and the skills of the freestylers and snowboarders.
