Partially long and flat sections, limited selection of difficult slopesDescription Levi
The World Cup ski resort Levi is located in northern Finland. As the only elevation in the area, Levi Mountain rises 531 meters and is accessible from all sides by lifts. From the village of Sirkka (Levi Center), two detachable six-seater chairlifts and the Levi Express cable car provide access to an intermediate slope.
If you take the Glacier Express, you can continue down an easy slope all the way to the Levi 2000 six-seater gondola lift. The gondola (one of the northernmost detachable lifts in the world) takes you up to the summit, where the challenging World Cup downhill run starts, leading back down to the gondola.
You can also carve your way down to West Point or South Point via intermediate and easy runs. Modern six-seater chairlifts with weather covers take you comfortably back up to the summit.
A long connecting trail, passing several drag lifts, eventually brings you back to Levi Center (Zero Point). In short, Levi Mountain offers perfectly groomed slopes for families, children, and advanced skiers. Unfortunately, you won’t find very steep runs in Levi. Several snow parks await freestylers and snowboarders.
There are several restaurants in the ski area or at the base stations for a break. Some cozy little huts invite you to rest and warm up. Après-ski is also available in Levi. Highly recommended are V'inkkari and Tuikku.
